About Design Rethink
With the advent of the new world reality, more jobs have left obscurity and experts in this trend have become more vogue. The world of the artist or the creative is to make revolutions with the stroke of their brush, through their lenses capturing moments and products that change behaviors, and through their pens write contents that have continued to shape our world today.
The Challenge
Most creative industry stakeholders, have yet to recognize that it is past time to start constructing a strong hedge for the creative world. Stakeholders must value creatives in the same way that a Doctor, Lawyer, or Banker are valued in their respective fields and beyond. It's worth noting that the role of a creative is at the heart of today's communication, marketing, and business branding processes. Creators must also be well-positioned to meet the ever-increasing demands of both the creative economy and the global economy as a whole.
Design Rethink Journey
This birthed Design Rethink whose aim is geared towards building young creative individuals, pushing them to become industry giants, and contributing their unique quota to the growing creative economy.
In addition to her objective, Design Rethink is here to help creatives in the process of finding their uniqueness, displaying and marketing their works professionally, networking, building career competence, developing new ideas and fighting against plagiarism.
The inaugural Design Rethink flagged off in November 2020 as the conclusion of Poe Hotspot's 7-month internship program, which trained a slew of young creatives to become design professionals. There were over a hundred registered creatives and nine speakers, including Tola Alabi, Redona Dida, Abiodun Bada, Mooyo Okonta, Oche Kre8ive, Chidike Kizito, Kachi Eze, Poemack Emeaba, and Ogbuji Miracle.
